Topic : Childrens aren't able to write their own simple sentences 

Rational : As they are third standard, it is a needy to write on their own . I select this topic because I wanna know where the lack is happening . If they have the confident to write their own with simple sentences, it will be a good starting of their writting journey . They are blooming blossoms in this stage they should have start their own writings, even it is simple structure they should start . 

Research questions :

       1. Am i teaching enough vocabulary ?

       2. Am I giving enough work to improve their self ?

      3. How many of the students able to write their own ?

      4. How many students are not able to write their own ?

      5. Are they good in tamil ( mother tongue )

      6. Are they good at speaking in English who are lack of writing ?

      7. Which part are they struggling ? 

           a) Silent letter or b) making sentences 

  Data collections : 

                 After preparing these questions I started to collect data from students, my collegue and my previous experience . from those datas I decided to get answers for my questions . Most of my students family dont have mobiles so that I called my Hm and asked her to talk with students and ask them to call me .After coming back to my working place I checked every previous students work  which are documented by me .

 And I visited student's house also had a chat with them .I had chat with my collegues

Then I gave a paper to write what they like . From those datas I  analyse  and to find  the answers of my questions . 

Exploritary research Results :

               💠   1. I m not giving enough writing works in my classroom . I oftenly gives Q&A which students can byheart and write . So whenever they writing, they seeks contents . I thought that my students can't write on their own. 

     💠   2. Out of 10 Five students have enough vocabulary but they dont know how to fix it in the sentences

    💠. Students don't know the structure of the sentence. They are confusing their mother tongue structure with English language sentence structure

Conclusion: 

            From the datas and results I decided to change my thought about writing sentences . Students are able to write the sentences when I give enough practice and support . so for my "Action research" I brought up new set of questions . They are , 

       1. What type of activities should I give to my children ?

       2. When they write sentences can I omit spelling mistakes or guide them ?

       3. What are the writing activities given by the text book ? 

       4. How can I implement them intrestingly ?.

       

My opinion about exploratary research : 

         Before research I was confused . I dont know where the mistakes happened . If someone find the mistakes, that will lead them to solve it. So this action research gives me another point of view what I m facing struggles at teaching writing .
